Greenland Art Expedition

August 2012

I was part of an art based expedition that sailed up the northwest coast of Greenland. This expedition was inspired by the Hudson River painter William Bradford, who had led a similar art based expedition in Greenland in 1869. The goal of this expedition was to retrace Bradford's footsteps to produce art inspired by the endangered arctic landscape of Greenland, and document the affects of climate change by comparing our artworks from today to the same artworks made in the 1869 expedition.

These works below were produced on-site in Greenland.
